The Williamsport 2nd Street facility opened in 2008 and was expanded in 2010.  The location of our Williamsport facility helps to reduce truck traffic and ensure a viable, cost-effective E&P wastewater management strategy.  Our customers appreciate their ability to reduce fresh water use and reduce their costs associated with well sustainability, pretreatment, recycling, and disposal.

Capabilities

This facility successful treats as much as 420,000 gallons per day of wastewater from drilling and production operations. The facility analyzes and treats wastewater from hydrofracturing and flowback, as well as produced water, mud and other residual solids. The 2nd Street facility was the first in Pennsylvania to use Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) units to recover as much as 95 percent distilled water from gas well wastewater, which is returned to our customers for immediate reuse. This facility is also equipped to handle oil recovery. The facility has an indirect discharge permit allowing discharge of distilled water to the Williamsport Sewer Authority. The facility will soon have methanol rectification capability.
