Daniel J. Ertel – Chief Executive Officer
As a native of Williamsport, PA, Mr. Ertel cares deeply about the natural environment of the area. Prior to the start of drilling in the Marcellus Shale, Mr. Ertel was focusing on technologically superior ways for exploration and production companies to manage their water resources efficiently, conveniently, and in an environmentally responsible manner. As a civil engineer and entrepreneur with incredible foresight, he joined with partners to form Eureka Resources, LLC. Today he leads the growing company in achieving its goal of becoming the preferred provider of wastewater management options for oil and natural gas producers in Pennsylvania. The company is also positioning itself for expansion beyond Pennsylvania into other oil and gas producing regions throughout North America.
George Banashefski – VP of Sales & Marketing
With 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industries, and expertise working with exploration and production companies and emerging technologies, Mr. Banashefski is a valued resource to client companies and the industry. His understanding of customer needs for a reliable source for recycling, reuse, and disposal of wastewater from fracking and production operations has helped shape the direction of the company and the services it provides. His experience working in other oil and gas production areas of the United States, and his knowledge of regulatory and operational requirements, make him a valuable resource to Eureka customers operating throughout Pennsylvania.
Kent McManus – Vice President of Engineering
A Licensed Professional Engineer, Mr. McManus is responsible for all design, permitting, and construction activities for Eureka’s existing and new oil and gas wastewater treatment facilities and is integrally involved in future planning and site selections. Mr. McManus has more than 32 years as an environmental engineering consultant, with expertise in remediation technologies, processing, and engineering. He is also responsible for government relations and agency interactions to ensure state and federal compliance at all Eureka facilities. Mr. McManus has a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Clarkson College.
