Wastewater Pretreatment

Project Description

Wastewater Pretreatment

The wastewater pretreatment process begins when raw wastewater from a well site is delivered to the Eureka Resources facility by development companies where it is evaluated and tested for dissolved and settled solids, barium, mud, and oil. The wastewater is then pumped through steel clarifiers that collect and remove the settleable solids before being pumped into one of two process trains for chemical addition, pH adjustment and precipitation. Secondary clarifiers settle the generated residuals or sludge and pump them into holding tanks. Pretreated water can be reused for drilling and production or if needed further processed.
